All you dove into was the license. I hardly call that a “deep dive”.

  • Goody K3NG:

    HRD runs on Linux now?

I may be new and this is my first experience with your podcast….but NOT impressed.
First, nearly all software is licensed and user do not own it, just read the EULA’s.
Second, trash HRD license only to transition to Open Source. Great if you want to do that, just don’t bait and switch your podcast title. Stopped listening so no clue where you went from there.
Too bad, was hoping for another good podcast source for HAM topics.

Why not go over to SourceForge.net and download a LINUX based package called Andy’s Ham Shack Linux? Has all kinds of ham useful packages collected together and you can put it into a USB memory stick and use it live or load it up as you OS (it’s Ubuntu based). Awesome collection, and it already IS linux so there’s no messing around with WINE or other Windoze patches trying to get it to work.
