The Three Stooges Do Morse Code

This video is making the rounds. I think it is worth sharing (just 19 seconds in length).

Can you copy the code?

What I got made about as much sense as what Curly and Mo said.

I’m pretty rusty so I don’t copy that fast. I had to run through it several times.

I got “pbx ysm tdm nve zyl”

About right. There used to be a site, “Morse at the Movies” with hundreds of references. Some of the uses of code were dead on accurate, others were just gibberish. It is fun when they get it right–I’ve been practicing and enjoyed hearing a clear message during the movie, “On the Beach.” In at least one case (a Porky Pig cartoon) a QSL was given by Warner Brothers for copying the message!

    PBX YSM TDM NVE ZYL

Is what was sent. As Curly would say, “Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!”
