Good morning Alex, I was last year at this time not going to throw the change out to get this rig….but then I realized by getting rid of some very unused gear that was in great shape I could purchase the KX3. Oh and I for sure will enjoy!!!!

O boy! Fun time ahead for Mike! I used my Kx3 on 15 meters this week with a Buddipole antenna and worked Italy SSB 10 watts. Last week, it was a single 53 foot wire antenna about 40 feet of which was ‘mostly vertical’ in a tree. The rest of the antenna wire led to the radio which was under a pavilion at my local park. One radial on the ground and I worked Argentina Italy and a mess of US stations from FL, 5 watts CW.

    Great fun,

You are going to love it Mike!

Good evening Ernest, sound like you are having a good time with the KX3. Great contacts and it good to know they came with the portable type antennas. I operate outdoors and am also looking forward to getting some contacts with the KX3 under my belt. Thanks for stopping by the blog and taking the time to comment.
