Storm

I am ready for the first autumn storm 'Christian' - my vertical is down, precaution. At midnight the storm will arrive in the UK, tomorrow morning The Netherlands. So I will see and wait for things to come.
Update: The storm is over. Wind gusts up to 119km/h at our location. We had no real problems here. One roof was destroyed and a tree was down, that's all.

I will no longer publish about WSPR on this blog but on a separate one: www.pc4twspr.blogspot.nl

but nothing to worry about, I think it was all hype!
The predictions were for 80MPH winds Sunday night and Monday Morning, but there is nothing here in the Midlands!

0438 GMT (UTC) and the storm is not far away. I wonder how my son is in Bristol in the West of England. Also just seen an email to say that my Morse Elmer John G3SJE, who taught me CW in the early 1990s became a Silent Key. He gave CW tuition for 44 years through the RSGB GB2CW service. John was our ‘Club’ at Edgware and last year attended our 75th Anniversary. The Edgware & District Radio Society will mourn him and I have to say something as I am net controller for the club net on 160 metres tonight. A sad time for our club and for Amateur Radio in north London.

Glad you weathered the storm OK. Wow, your storm came almost exactly a year after Sandy did her thing here.

From here on out, my your weather be fair and your winds light!
