I see many similarities between Dayton….and the two college graduations I attended instead this past weekend:
1) Those crazy hats. (I have to say, the academia-nuts have the hams beat on this on….)
2) Lotsa photos and photos of people taking photos….
3) Crowds, crowds, crowds….
4) Duck Dynasty cast members can be found everywhere!

BTW, good job on putting this together Larry. This may not get the same number of YouTube views as the 14 year old girl covering Van Halen’s “Eruption”, but it will be close! 😉
Tank you for the wunnerful music (apologies to Mr. Welk)! Dayton was FB. 73

Ok, there was a photo of an FX-4 HF 4 band ssb/cw transceiver. The photo showed LNR Precision but it is nowhere to be found on their website. Anyone know anything about this?

Questions answered…The theme for this slide show was photography, thus the song “Freeze Frame”, so you did see lots of cameras in the show. Each of my shows has a theme which is evoked from the song I have chosen…it is quite evident when you watch each of my shows from the past. Example “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” features YLs…pretty easy… “Mr. Blue Sky” has BLUE in most every slide. “Lean On Me” has people leaning on each other. Yeah, I am a crazy hat nut job, aren’t I? The FX-4 is a prototype…the real thing will be available in a few months or so according to LNR Precision. But yes, it will be from LNR Precision. That plain label large white HT held by the Tokyo HyPower lady in the show is also a new radio not available yet…a 40-6M SSB/CW HT! In the current show, you also see scenes from the FDIM Buildathon session as well as a new transmitter kit not yet available from 4SQRP which goes on top of the SS-40 receiver. I enjoy making these slide shows as part of my Dayton experience and hope they serve to bring back memories of Hamventions gone by. My YouTube channel is at http://www.youtube.com/joehusker , and that is where you can see my old and new shows, videos, etc. Thanks for the mention as a “teacher”, Larry!

That little rig also looks VERY similar to a model that is currently available from YouKits….the TJ2B SSB Handheld Transceiver.
