Andy goes over each question and answer from the Element 2 Technician Class question pool. It’s like having a tutor to walk you through the whole thing. I think it’s one of the very best resources available on the Internet. It’s clear that he spent many hours creating the videos. Together with KB6NU’s The No-Nonsense Technician Class License Study Guide (PDF, 411 KB), Andy’s video series is the best free ham radio course available online.

Hi, Interested in starting, don’t have a call sign as yet, where can i start and what course do i need to do first of all?
Would love to see a teaching/study program for the extra exam that does not just have questions and answers… would like the theory behind it so I can reason issues, not just pass the test.

Almost anyone can pass the tech test but that doesn’t mean they understand HAM radio. I listen to HF at night, but I don’t know enough to be able to understand my radio and the manual is way over my head. And I am in an area where there are very, very few Elmers to help me. I find many new HAMS with the same problem I have and so they drop out of clubs. I have a Baofeng 2meter, an FT-60, a Yaesu 7900R and a Yaesu 450. I am not computer literate enough to be a VE or to join an ARES group.
Does this training apply to exams in 2017?
I just used Ham Radio Prep online course, studied and passed in one week
18 aug 2018 is the same test
is this a beginners class ? I know nothing and am not sure what a beginners class is called

I need to get my Tech. license.
Can I use just your video lessons to pass the test, or do you recommend I purchase a study guide as well? Are watching your videos going to be enough for me to get a passing score?

I was told I don’t need a licence if i’m not operating commercially, all communication is protected by the First Amendment.
Looks like this was published in 2011. Is the material current relative to the latest topics/requirements the FCC is testing on?
I don’t have a call sign yet. I am studying for the tech. class license is this material still relevant? As it was published in 2011.

I am looking for a free online tech license program for a family at church. They have a passel of kids and would like to get the whole family licensed.
I saw that the course offered here uses a rather old question pool. Can anyone recommend a free program that is more current?
