Thanks guys for a great Christmas show. Hearing Peter talking about his WX makes me wish I was back in Exmouth, WA where I was 1972-1974 at the Naval Communications Station Harold E. Holt. I miss the hot WX. This morning in Hot Springs, S.D. it is minus 11. It is supposed to reach 18 above today.
Tommy, Thanks for your section on Shackbox. I had an HP slide off the table while shutting down a while back and killed the hard drive. I will be trying the idea you have. I also bought Xtra-PC which is supposed to do the same thing. It is supposed to run without a hard drive running Lynix. http://WWW.Xtra-PC.com
Merry Christmas to you all and Gooday Mate down under. Cheers

I forgot to mention to Emile that my house would be a treasure trove for him if he wanted to try to fit down the log stove pipe after Santa. I don’t throw things out. I have a basement being set up like Bob Heil with all the radios behind him on Hamnation. I will send a picture in once I finish the long project of building shelves etc to hold all the gear. Most people would be happy to have one Collins station or one TS-520. I have three of each. I love boat anchors. I just got into QRP when I found an LNR LD-5 5 watt QRDP Radio. I tune the G5RV using the 7300 and Heathkit SA-2060A tuner then switch in the LD-5. QRP is tough with the sun acting up but it is fun. I just bought the rotating Buddipole system to use once the WX gets better and I can get out and enjoy it.
    Merry Christmas,
    N7HRO Dennis
