30m FT8 is treating me well.

During my morning FT8 session I was transmitting on my normal morning band of 30m at 60 watts. I have been very pleased with my Endfed antenna at this new location and how it preforms on FT8. Yesterday I was shocked to see that my signal was picked up in Australia at -13dB and a distance of 17472 Km's this is a first for me.

  • Don & KA0TT:

Congrats! Did the same thing with a SuperAntenna in my bedroom beside the window on PK31 in the late afternoon out of a third floor apartment. Made a contact to Alice Springs from Twin Falls, ID.

Good evening Don and thanks for taking the time to comment, great work on the PSK31 results and being on the 3rd floor does help. It’s great the digital modes are here so when someone is in a difficult antenna situation contacts can still be made.
Have a great upcoming Friday Don
