I've had this radio about 2 or 3 weeks and it has lived up to my expectations and more. I first had another radio from China that was a big disappointment, but I went ahead and tried this one, it his first rate and has all the features it needs. I had a little trouble with the programming but soon figured it out and away I go! I have it hooked to a small J-Pole antenna and I am able to get into a repeater about 75 miles away with the 65 watts that it puts out and it receives that signal like it is sitting right next to me. All in all, it is an outstanding transceiver and I will use it from now on!!!

This little unit is a darn good radio in an economical package. TX is good RX is good. Screen is a little hard to see but it sounds great! nice and clear. im listening to repeater traffic from 150 miles plus away.

Sounds good, looks good and all reports have indicated excellent audio. Receiver rejects intermodal, which is better than some of its Japanese competition. Would be perfect if it were to have one more step down in power to 1 watt or maybe even 0.5 watts. Intuitive to program. Love the "Compander" and "scramble " modes. Will likely purchase another of this same model as a spare mobile/portable.

For a Chinese radio, this one is a good one. Power was 55 watts on my meter, it was easy to manually program it, and I found no problems with it. In fact, I liked it good enough to get another one. Both of these radios were identical in power output and free of problems. And the price was quite acceptable.

Radio kept "cutting out" my transmit audio. Seems to be a common error with this radio, according to what I read on other reviews. Had to return it.
