MFJ is not known for Quality Control. I purchased this antenna for a second QTH having used another brand at home. I installed the antenna about 30' in the air on a cedar post sloping down to about 20' on each leg. The ladder line feed was far from metal objects or other coax feed and transitioned to 50' of rg8. I found it very hard to obtain a match on 80m, 40m, 17m, 15m, and 12m. It was almost impossible to obtain a match on 10 which is not surprising, 20m was far from resonate which a G5RV should be nearly if not a 1:1 match on 20m. I lowered the antenna and got out a measuring tape. The standard design by G5RV as is for wires to be a pox 105' in length aka about 52.5' on each side. I found he lengths to 1) not be equal 2) be 4' short on each side. I am not saying this is intentional, but it is ether a cost saving measure or sloppy work. I suggest you look elsewhere for ur G5RV or build one yourself your a ham you passed a test build something!Read full review

I'm using this with the IC-7300 and I can tune 40m, 20m and 15m on it with the inbuilt ATU which will only handle an SWR up to 3:1. I expect it could also be tuned on other bands with an external ATU. It is well constructed and should stand up to the elements well.

1:1 on 20m, 1.3:1 on 30 and 40m I cannot tune 15m, 10 and 17 is usable, I like the antenna, heavy gauge wire and ceramic insulators. really a good value
