Radio works great, have made many contacts with it. Offers all the features of an expensive radio with a lot less cost. Power is a little less than advertised, but most of them are anyway, even the well known brands. Radio was easy enough to program without the cable and software. Works well, and appears to be rugged enough to withstand a normal environment.

I was pretty happy with this radio until I received complaints about muffled and weak transmit audio. I had only owned it for two months before this problem began to show up. Now it's one more thing on the list of things I have to find time to fix. I've owned a portable Kenwood TH-F6 for about a year now and never had a problem with it.

There are very few 222 MHz ham radios made with 65 watts Power available at an affordable price. I bought four of these for our emergency communications program, hoping to make use of the excellent availability of this band. This radio is a very good performing radio. The manual needs work presently makes good kindling. The manual needs to be rewritten in English not converted from Chinese to English. The software works but is very basic and appears to be resurrected from the stone age. Single line entries no set formats no copy and paste. Software should address USB port not USB converted to comm. port the conversion software is not dependable. Audio on and out is excellent even using stock mic.
