This works really well with my setup. I had an Antron whip and now use a Sirio 5000, both have stayed on the vehicle even when driving slightly over the speed limit. Only issues come from damage to the mounting surface as there is no barrier between the magnets and the surface. I supposed this is to better secure the mount to surface contact as a rubber boot or piece of cloth can weaken the contact. Not a bad piece of kit for those renting a vehicle or who like myself cannot drill a hole on the roof of my truck

Base and magnet are fine but the coax and electrical connections are complete junk. If you’re looking for a project, the magnetic base is of solid construction, but the coaxial cable and it’s electrical connections are of poor workmanship and I cannot recommend this for a serious radio user. It’s a good place to start though if you want to modified into something usable.
