Most MFJ products come in the iconic "MFJ" thick plastic bag but this one came just with a thin plastic wrap without MFJ branding, so I'm not exactly sure whether this is genuine MFJ product. The quality is good, though. It can't be worse than MFJ. As for the antenna itself, it's heavier and more expensive than LNR's trail friendly end-fed, but end-fed would require a tree or a pole. This telescopic antenna, on the other hand, suits locations where there's no tree and not quite practical to raise a pole for a half wave resonant antenna. However, this product does require a counterpoise which is still quite long compared to the telescopic pole itself. So it isn't as convenient as the product picture suggests. It's not just going to work by itself. It's an antenna for special circumstances.Read full review

Excellent antenna for QRP. Solid construction using quality materials. I would buy this product again for my Yaesu FT-818, should there ever be a need. I really like this antenna!
